Thanksgiving Tradition
Continuing our heartwarming tradition, Salaam Food Pantry served 70 underserved and vulnerable families in Fremont, providing each with a halal turkey along with a $100 gift card compatible with major grocery stores. Throughout Monday and Tuesday (November 24-25), volunteers packed and distributed the Thanksgiving bundles at the pantry, turning the space into a hub of warmth and care just days before the holiday.
Each bag carried the anticipation of a homemade meal and the joy of sharing food with loved ones. For many families, this tradition has become a reminder that Pantry sees and supports them during the holiday season. We strive to ensure that they never feel alone. And the smiles, stories, and thank-yous we heard at distribution reminded us why this matters so much every year. “Thank you ever so much as always for a wonderful Thanksgiving gift, Salaam Food Pantry, and all the people and organizations that donated,” expressed a Fremont resident.
We are deeply grateful to the Support Life Foundation and Evergreen Islamic Center for their generous donation of halal turkeys. We recognize all the volunteers and community partners who make this tradition possible every year. Your generosity brings this tradition to life and helps us extend it to even more families year after year.
